The homeowners of this Mendota Heights landscape were looking to expand their outdoor activity space for their young, growing family. In addition to the need for more room was a necessity to remedy a poorly drained concrete slab patio sitting on nearly flat grade, and create a completely new entrance to the patio to replace a failing set of steel stairs, making our work even more challenging.

After working through the landscape design process, we were able to create a gorgeous and functional outdoor living space for our Mendota Heights homeowners. By designing and building a permeable Bluestone patio and gas burning fire pit we effectively doubled their gathering and play space while solving their drainage issues. To top it off our landscape designers along with our expert team of artisan contractors were able to create a seamless and unique set of radial stairs to replace the original failing steel stairway.  Now this Mendota Heights backyard is home to a relaxing and timeless permeable Bluestone patio sized just right for their growing family to enjoy for decades.
